Oracle DBA and System Administrator

Role Summary & Responsibilities

- Take charge of configuration management, performance tuning and administration of mission critical databases parts of LIST ASP farm;
- Understand in detail LIST applications architecture and their dependencies/interaction with database;
- Define Oracle database architectures and strategies to meet application availability, scalability and performance requirements;
- Provide second level support to the LIST Service Desk and other LIST Operations teams on database related issues and service requests;
- Collaborate with development and support teams on projects, ASP/SAAS services;
- Manage servers and services in various environments and operating systems;
- Work in accordance with policies, procedures and company standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Bs or Ms in Computer Science or equivalent;
- At least 3 years of experience working with Oracle DBA in Windows/Unix/Linux environments;
- At least 3 years of experience in configuration and management of Data Guard databases;
- Knowledge of postgress database;
- Big data administration;
- Good written and oral communication skills of English and Italian languages;
- Structured approach in problem solving;
- Possibility to make work shifts;
- SQL and PL/SQL scripting and tuning;
- Pro-active database management;
- Experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting;
- Experience in database backup and recovery procedures;
- Windows/Unix shell scripting;
- Unix/Linux/Windows server installation and configuration skills;
- EU work permit.

Desired Characteristics

- Oracle 10g, 11g DBA certifications;
- Experience with windows server operating systems and Active Directory management;
- Network and security administration skills;
- Experience with mail, DNS, DHCP and proxy services.
